Birthplace: Bolívia

Bachelors degree in Biochemistry from Universidad Mayor de San Andrés (UMSA, 2016) and Masters degree in Evolutionary Genetics and Molecular Biology, with a focus on Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, from the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar, 2021). During her Masters studies, she developed the project Determination of the Cytotoxic and Pro-apoptotic Effects of [6]-Shogaol on Bladder Cancer Cells (MB49), In Vitro. In 2023, she served as a teaching assistant for the disciplines of Biology, Pharmacognosy, and Biotechnology at Universidad Privada del Valle La Paz Campus, Bolivia. She is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Graduate Program in Bioproducts and Bioprocesses at the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP), affiliated with the Tissue Engineering Laboratory (LABETEC). Her work involves interdisciplinary activities in the fields of biomaterials, natural bioactives, bone regeneration, and 3D printing. Her research project, titled Innovative Bone Scaffolds: Evaluating the Regenerative Potential of 3D Constructs Using Bio-hydroxyapatite and AR Biomass, focuses on scaffolds produced via additive manufacturing for the treatment of critical bone defects. The study includes in vitro analyses of biocompatibility with pre-osteoblastic cells, investigation of the biochemical processes involved in bone repair, induction of osteoblastic differentiation, as well as scaffold resorption and interaction with components of the cellular microenvironment. She has experience in Clinical Biochemistry (with emphasis on Immunohematology) and in Cellular and Molecular Biology, working primarily on the following topics: bladder cancer, cytotoxicity and biocompatibility assays, mammalian cell culture, applied microbiology, 3D printing, and physicochemical characterization of biomaterials.
