Marco is an engineer and computer scientist graduated from the State University of Campinas (Unicamp), with a specialization in Exponential Technologies from Singularity University, in Denmark and Silicon Valley, where he was immersed in a NASA military base conducting research and development of innovative technologies. to develop solutions to humanity's greatest challenges.He is passionate about entrepreneurship and research and development in the areas of technology and innovation for social impact. He was one of the creators of the Master Business Exponential Unicamp, the first Lato sensu program being carried out at Unicamp, with disciplines on Happiness, Ethics, morals and justice, Diversity, Impact Entrepreneurship, Exponential Technologies, High performance and Management of the future, being also a professor of Management of the future. The program had more than 700 applications. In 2020, Marco co-hosted the Happiness course at Unicamp, selected by the call for a Visiting Specialist Professor at Unicamp, which brought great names such as Mario Sergio Cortella and Rossandro Klinjey as speakers.Since 2019, Marco has been leading the NASA International Space Apps Challenge in cities in the interior of São Paulo, such as Campinas. This is NASA's worldwide innovation competition, in the form of a hackathon, to encourage young people to create solutions to challenges on planet Earth and in space. Under his organization and leadership, Campinas became the 22nd city in the world to send more projects to NASA, with 2 consecutive years with the team achieving more results throughout Brazil.Marco is executive director of the film Perto Demais, a cinematographic work to discuss human relationships and the consequences of systemic violence in the lives of children and adolescents. The film, with national release on 10/20/2022, captured and executed with resources from the Culture Incentive Law and sponsorship of Magazine Luiza, features Monja Coen, Fabrício Carpinejar and Leo Fraiman and has free distribution.Marco is also one of the co-founders of Liga Empreendedora, an entity created in 2012 at Unicamp that helps students create a business while still in college.Marco gives lectures and provides training on Exponential Technologies, Impact Entrepreneurship, High Performance, Soft Skills and High Impact Pitches for companies, schools and universities.Over 2 years, Marco spent more than 2,000 hours at the Apple Developer Academy (formerly BEPiD), at Instituto Eldorado, in Campinas. The program was created by Apple to train iOS developers able to turn ideas into applications and businesses.In 2016 he spent 1 month in Switzerland carrying out research and development on gender inequality, which resulted in the creation of the game Voix and later the Voix Academy, a game and methodology to combat prejudice and reduce bullying in schools.In 2017, Voix was selected as one of the 7 startups that can impact Brazil in a competition from Harvard and MIT. In the same year, Marco went to represent Brazil in Helsinki, Finland, at the Slush Global Impact Accelerator, on behalf of Voix.Marco is a Founder Institute graduate and also spent 1 year doing military training in the US Army in the Battalion of Wolves, in the Army ROTC program, held within American universities.Marco was also a math teacher for 3 years at Curso Exato at Unicamp, using methodologies such as the flipped classroom and soft skills.He did an internship at the software company Taggen, as an entrepreneurship analyst.
