Amanda Ferraresi is a bachelor's degree in cello from the University of São Paulo (USP), being supervised by professor Robert Suetholz (USA). She began his musical studies at the age of 5 and at the age of 10, she began studying cello at the Carlos Gomes Conservatory, in Campinas (SP). During her classical music studies, she was part of several young orchestras, such as the Orquestra Jovem de Paulínia (2012) and the Orquestra Jovem de Guarulhos (2016). In 2015, she was co-founder and member of Camerata Profana, a contemporary music collective awarded at the XXI Biennial of Contemporary Brazilian Music, in Rio de Janeiro. She was a music researcher and writer for radio programs at Rádio USP (2017-2019). Currently, she develops research into Brazilian popular music and has worked with theater groups since 2014, acting as cellist and co-musical director in companies such as Os Satyros, in the play Pessoa Perfeitas; at Coletiva Wonder, in the play Wonder!! Vem pra Barra Pesada; and at Teatro Oficina Uzyna Uzona, in O Bailado do Deus Morto, by Flávio de Carvalho and directed by Marcelo Drummond, Esperando Godot, by Samuel Beckett and in the play Roda Viva, written by Chico Buarque and both directed by José Celso Martinez Corrêa. In 2023, she was nominated for the Shell Theater Award for Best Musical Performance in the play Wonder!!. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
