Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP). Instituto de Química (IQ)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

Professor at the Institute of Chemistry of Fluminense Federal University (UFF). Received his bachelor degree in Chemistry from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP). Obtained his Master's degree in Inorganic Chemistry and his PhD degree in Science also from UNICAMP. Part of the PhD studies was developed at Laurentian University in Canada. From 2015 to 2018, he worked at the University of California, Davis (UCD), USA, as a post-doctoral researcher, acting in the syntheses, modifications and study of photochemical properties of semiconductors employed as nanostructured photocatalysts for the production of hydrogen through the photocatalytic water splitting, under solar light irradiation. From 2018 to 2020, associated as a researcher to the University of São Paulo (USP) and to the "Center for Innovation on New Energies (CINE)", settled in Brazil by Shell, he conducted projects focused on the investigations of the properties and photoactivities of iron-based semiconductors for the photoelectrocatalytic generation of green hydrogen through water spitting.
