Birthplace: Brazil

Since 2013, I have been a researcher at the National Institute for Space Research (INPE) inBrazil working on space science, more specifically the solar-terrestrial coupling that resultsin magnetospheric plasma waves and other processes leading to changes in the radiation beltelectron flux. I've also been working on low-latitude and equatorial ground magnetometerdata related to the Brazilian space weather monitoring center (EMBRACE). Myresponsibilities include monitoring, interpreting and addressing geomagnetic readings fromEMBRACE. As a member of the Galileo Solar Space Telescope (GSST) team, my primaryresponsibility is to propose a monitor for particles in the near-Earth environment as part ofthe mission. Furthermore, I am actively involved in the post-graduation program on spacephysics at INPE, where I hold positions as a lecturer, advisor, and coordinator. I haveprovided guidance and oversight to multiple students pursuing degrees at the master anddoctoral levels.email: livia.alves@inpe.br.orcid.org/0000-0002-5680-7271 (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
