Dr. Figueira obtained a PhD degree in Medical Pathophyiology at the State University of Campinas, a Master degree in Human Exercise Science at the State University of São Paulo (Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho in Rio Claro, UNESP) and a Bachelor degree in Exercise Science at the State University of São Paulo. The personal interests are on exercise physiology, metabolism and mitochondrial functions.
