Embarking on an academic journey fueled by unbridled curiosity, I've navigated the captivating realms of Complex Network Systems and Chaos and Dynamical Systems. These two intertwined domains have become my compass for deciphering the enigmatic patterns of our complex world. In the dynamic arena of Complex Network Systems, I've honed skills that traverse data's vast expanse. From cracking the code of data analysis, data visualization, and big data handling to unearthing nuggets of wisdom through data mining and machine learning, I'm committed to excavating insights buried within. Armed with optimization techniques, I craft elegant solutions to untangle intricate data puzzles. My fascination with human connections extends to social network analysis and sentiment decoding, unveiling the story behind every interaction. My explorations in agent-based modeling and computational social science peel back the layers of complex systems, revealing their hidden dynamics. Additionally, I dive into the virtual world, probing information diffusion and capturing the rhythm of dynamical processes on online social media platforms.Simultaneously, the chaotic dance of Chaos and Dynamical Systems beckons. Navigating nonlinear dynamics, I unravel the poetry hidden within seemingly erratic behaviors. My canvas spans closed and open systems, with a palette of scaling laws and discrete maps. I'm entranced by chaotic dynamics, both mesmerizing and bewildering. In the world of conservative and dissipative systems, I uncover stories of order within chaos. My inquiries span time-dependent systems, Fermi acceleration, billiards, kicked systems, and the beguiling chaos of periodic attractors. Bifurcations and boundary crises are the threads weaving this intricate fabric, revealing the elegance underlying chaos. My academic journey reads like a patchwork quilt of diverse experiences. As an Assistant Professor at the University of North Dakota, I'm immersed in shaping minds and ideas. My role as an Assistant Research Scientist at the University of Maryland's Social Data Science Center was a bridge between research and real-world impact. At the University of North Carolina, my tenure as a Postdoctoral Research Associate solidified my data science prowess in the context of social and behavioral sciences. From the US Army Research Laboratory to Northwestern University, and from Indiana University to the far reaches of Germany, including the Max Planck Institute, my global jaunt has been colored by diverse cultures and cutting-edge institutions. My formal education, anchored by a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Maribor, has forged an analytical sword that cuts through complex conundrums. My journey started with a Master's degree from the State University of São Paulo, which ignited my passion for deciphering time-dependent billiards. A Bachelor's degree from the same institution laid the cornerstone for my intellectual pursuits. In essence, my academic voyage is an ever-evolving tale of curiosity, passion, and a deep-seated commitment to unraveling the mysteries of our world. Through the lenses of Complex Network Systems and Chaos and Dynamical Systems, I continue to decode the universe's riddles, one discovery at a time. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
