Paulo César Morceiro

I work in the fields of Industrial Economics, Innovation Economics, and Regional Development. I hold a PhD in Economics from FEA-USP and earned both my bachelor's and master's degrees from Unesp. I completed two postdoctoral fellowships over four and a half years: one at Utrecht University (Netherlands) in a regional development center, and another at the University of Johannesburg (South Africa) at a center focused on Industrial Development for the Global South. During my PhD, I was also a visiting researcher at the University of Groningen (Netherlands). I worked for three years in the Department of Competitiveness and Technology at Fiesp, where I coordinated and integrated teams responsible for technical studies and projects with companies and associated unions. I am a researcher at FIPE, an associate researcher at the Center for Regional and Urban Economics Studies (NEREUS) at FEA-USP, and a senior associate researcher at the South African Chair in Industrial Development at the University of Johannesburg. I also collaborate as a researcher with the Group for Studies in Industrial Economics (GEEIN) affiliated with Unesp. I have conducted commissioned work for institutions in the United States (Inter-American Development Bank IDB), Brazil (FIPE, CNI, IEDI, SENAI, ABIMDE), and South Africa (WITS, CCRED-IDTT, DSI/NRF). I am a published book author, speaker, blog contributor, and have given around 40 interviews to prominent media outlets, including Valor Econômico, O Estado de S. Paulo, O Globo, Folha de S.
