Fernanda is an Active Member of the American Psychoanalytic Association ant Training Analyst at the psychoanalytic institute Blanton-Peale, teaching courses on Freud and on Fabio Herrmann. She is the author of "Psychoanalysis in the ICU: Life, Death and the Possibles of Interpretation" (Escuta/Fapesp, 2014); "Literacure: Psychoanalysis as Literary Form" (Unifesp/Fapesp, 2015); and she is the organizer of "Notes on China (A Psychoanalytic Voyage to the East): Critical Edition" (Unifesp, 2019), all of which are available in Portuguese only. "Literacure" was awarded Third Prize in the Natural Sciences by the Brazilian Association of University Presses (ABEU, 2016), and it was shortlisted for the most prestigious national award in Brazil, the Jabuti, also in 2016. Fernanda is organizing the book "Psychoanalysis for Beginners and Beyond: and Other Selected Texts," to be published by SUNY Press. She earned a Ph.D. in Psycholgoy at the University of São Paulo was Visiting Postdoctoral Research Associate at Princeton University in 2017 and a visiting scholar at Columbia University in 2016 and 2012. Fernanda was temporarily Full Professor in psychoanalytic psychosomatics and health psychology at the Department of Psychology at the Federal University of São Paulo in Santos, Brazil (2013-2014). She has done peer review for journals in Brazil - for journals associated with the federal universities of Rio de Janeiro and Santa Catarina, as well as for the University of São Paulo, among others - and in the United States, associated with the International Honors Society in Psychology (PSI CHI), among others. She has provided book reviews for Editora Unifesp. Her main research themes are psychoanalytic interpretation, literary form, "freudian fictions," Brazilian psychoanalytic authorship, and psychoanalyses as art forms. Her most recent research is on the topic of developmental disabilities, using the psychoanalytic method and functional medicine. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
