PhD in Ecology (UNICAMP, 2016 & Carleton University, 2014-2015); MSc in Entomology (USP, 2011) and I am a biologist (UEMG, 2007) with BSc in Biology (UEMG, 2007). I am currently a researcher at the Amazon Environmental Research Institute and a scientist at the Woodwell Climate Research Center. My research is focused on the feedbacks between climate, forest cover and food production in tropical ecosystems. I am particularly interested in understanding the effects of forest amount and configuration on the local climate on the agricultural outputs and on biodiversity. To address these questions, I combine remotely sensed data, census and farm-level information, allowing me to examine the relationship between human activities and ecological function across spatial and temporal scales. In 2018 I won the "Marcio Ayres Award" for the best paper published by a young scientist in the periodic Perspectives in Ecology and Conservation in 2016-2018. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
