Assistant Professor at the Department of Physiology and Biophysics of the Institute of Biological Sciences at UFMG, with a research focused on Functional Aspects, Neuromodulation, and Disorders Affecting Cardiorespiratory Control. Holds a degree in Radiology Technology from the University of Franca (2007), a master's degree in Morpho-functional Sciences from the University of São Paulo (2011), and a doctorate in Sciences with an emphasis in Human Physiology from the Graduate Program in Human Physiology (ICB-USP) (2015), where he also completed a postdoctoral fellowship (2016-2022). He completed a visiting schollar program (2013) and a postdoctoral fellowship (2017) at the University of Connecticut, where he assumed the position of Postdoctoral Research Associate in 2022 and, between 2023 and 2024, served as a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Physiology and Neurobiology (PNB-UCONN), coordinating research projects that evaluate respiratory alterations in models of Congenital Central Hypoventilation Syndrome and central and peripheral respiratory and cellular alterations in models of Autism.
