Birthplace: Brazil

I have a degree in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Lavras (UFLA), a Master's degree in Plant Biology and a PhD in Genetics and Molecular Biology, both from the State University of Campinas (Unicamp), with Post-doctorates in Epigenetics from the University of Córdoba (Spain) and Regulation of development in response to environmental stresses from UFLA. I worked as Substitute and Volunteer Professor teaching the subjects of Plant Physiology (theoretical/practical), Molecular Biology (theoretical/practical), Molecular Basis of Plant Development and Introduction to Plant Epigenetics. Currently, I am Visiting/Adjunct Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences (DCB) at the State University of Santa Cruz (UESC, Ilhéus, Bahia) where I teach the classes CAA046 - Physiology of production and CIB024 - Environmental stresses in plants, and guide students from the Postgraduate Programs in Plant Production (PPG-PV) and Genetics and Molecular Biology (PPG-GBM). I have experience in molecular biology and plant physiology, working mainly on understanding how plants perceive biotic and abiotic signals, activating regulatory pathways and response processes to modulate their development, especially flowering and fruiting. My main lines of research include: Biology of reproduction and development , Response mechanisms to abiotic stresses, Molecular biology applied to plant production, Biotechnology, Data science and artificial intelligence applied to biology and agriculture.
