Post-doctoral researcher at the Center for Social Studies (CES) of the University of Coimbra and guest lecturer at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra (FEUC). PhD in Public Health from the Federal University of São Paulo/UNIFESP (2015) in the area of sexual and reproductive health of indigenous women with a sandwich doctorate at the College of Mexico/COLMEX (2012) in Mexico City. Master's degree in Demography from the State University of Campinas/UNICAMP (2010) in the area of Demography of Ethnicities. Graduated in Social Sciences from the Federal University of Uberlândia/UFU (2006). She has consulted for the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) in the area of women's health (2015-2017), collaborated with the Equal.STEAM Project, an integrated program to attract and retain women in higher education in technological and engineering areas (2023) and was a doctoral researcher on the project STEMGenderIN: a bridge to close the STEM gap with gender-inclusive education and teaching, funded by the European Commission's Erasmus+ Program (2023-2024).Over the last fifteen years, she has dedicated herself to studying different issues at the interface between gender, public health and demography, especially issues related to the health and sexual and reproductive behavior of indigenous and non-indigenous women in Brazil and Latin America. In recent years, she has been studying the abuse, disrespect and mistreatment suffered by women in the process of childbirth and abortion, which she is investigating in her post-doctoral project. She is currently a guest lecturer at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra (FEUC), teaching subjects related to quantitative data analysis. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
