Daniel Sempértegui-Tapia is a mechanical engineering Ph.D. student at the University of São Paulo, São Carlos, Brazil, under the supervision of Prof. Gherhardt Ribatski. He received in 2007 his bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering from the University Private of Bolivia, Cochabamba, Bolivia and in 2011 an M.Sc. degree in mechanical engineering from the University of São Paulo, São Carlos, Brazil. His research interest covers two-phase flow and convective boiling in microchannels. He has 9 papers published in international conferences and four in international journals.
