PhD and Master in Archeology from the Museum of Archeology and Ethnology at the University of São Paulo. Degree in History from the Federal University of Pelotas. Post-doctorate in Archeology from the University of Exeter, England. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Anthropology and Archeology at the Federal University of Pelotas. Permanent Professor and current coordinator of the Graduate Program in Anthropology at the Federal University of Pelotas (Master and Doctorate) and Collaborating Professor of the Graduate Program in Cultural Heritage at the Federal University of Santa Maria. Research productivity scholarship, level 2 from CNPQ. Coordinator of the LEPAARQ-UFPel Teaching and Research Laboratory in Anthropology and Archeology and leader of the homonymous research group at CNPQ. He was coordinator of the Southern Regional Nucleus of the Brazilian Archeology Society (management 2015-2016). Editor of the journal Cadernos do LEPAARQ (ISSN 2316-8412) and the Journal of Archeology of the Society of Brazilian Archeology, management 2018-2019 and 2020-2021 (ISSN 1982-1999). Works with Archeology of the pre-colonial populations of the Pampa and the South-Brazilian coast, Landscape Archeology, GIS applied to Archeology, Archaeological Heritage and Theory and Method in Archeology.
