Lucas is a Animal's Scientist from the University of São Paulo (2006), Specialist in Developmental Biology and Stem Cells by FMVZ - USP (2008), Master in Sciences Experimental Pathology program and Comparative, FMVZ - USP (2009) and PhD in Biotechnology from the University from Sao Paulo. Currently performs his second postdoctoral in the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) in Heidelberg, Germany. He have been doing international training like internships at NIH (Washington - USA) and EMBL (Rome- Italy), with experience in Animal Genetics area, gene editing by CRISPR-Cas9, molecular biology, animal models, genetically modified animals. The main topics of his research are: animal models for human diseases, animal phenotyping genetically modified Gap Junctions, gene expression analysis, transgenesis methods animal and Cancer Research.
