Leandro Seixas is a Theoretical Physicist. His research focuses on computational simulations of two-dimensional (2D) materials with applications in catalysis for green hydrogen production and materials for batteries. He was a CNPq research productivity fellow from 2018 to 2024, a project coordinator for FAPESP, and a member of the National Institute of Science and Technology for Materials Informatics (INCT). Leandro holds a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB, 2003-2007), a Master's degree in Physics from the Federal University of ABC (UFABC, 2007-2009), and a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of São Paulo (USP, 2009-2014), with a sandwich Ph.D. period at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI, 2012-2013) in Troy, NY, USA. He was a postdoctoral researcher at the Centre for Advanced 2D Materials (CA2DM) at the National University of Singapore (NUS, 2014-2015), in Singapore. He also served as an Assistant Professor at the School of Engineering of Mackenzie Presbyterian University (UPM) from 2016 to 2024 and as a researcher at MackGraphe - Mackenzie Institute for Research in Graphene and Nanotechnologies during the same period.
