Danilo Brandao (S?14) was born in Sao Goncalo do Sapucai, Brazil. He received his B.Sc degree in control and automation from Universidade Estadual Paulista, Brazil in Jul/2011. M.Sc and Dr. degrees in electrical engineering from Universidade Estadual Paulista (Jan/2013) and from University of Campinas, Brazil (Sept/2015), respectively. He was a visiting researcher at Colorado School of Mines, USA, in 2009 and in 2013, and at University of Padova, Italy, in 2014, and a guest professor at Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Norway, in 2018 and 2020. Currently he is assistant professor at Federal University of Minas Gerais with the Department of Electrical Engineering (DEE) and with the Graduate Program in Electrical Engineering (PPGEE). His main interests are cooperative control of inverters, digital control of grid-tied converters and microgrids. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
