Holds a Postdoctoral degree from the Department of Materials Engineering at the University of São Paulo (EESC/USP, 2016), under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Francisco Eduardo Gontijo Guimarães; a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of São Paulo (IFSC/USP, 2012), advised by Prof. Dr. Valtencir Zucolotto, including an international research stay at the University of Valladolid (UVa, Spain), where he also worked as a researcher with a European Union fellowship (GoodFood Project) under the coordination of Prof. Dr. José Antonio de Saja Sáez; a Masters degree in Engineering Materials from the Federal University of Itajubá (ICE/UNIFEI, 2005), supervised by Prof. Dr. Alvaro Antonio Alencar de Queiroz; and a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering (Electronics) from the Federal University of Itajubá (UNIFEI, 2002), as well as a degree in Physics Teaching (Licenciatura, UNIFEI, 2018). He was a researcher at EMBRAPA/Agricultural Instrumentation (under the coordination of Dr. Luiz Henrique Capparelli Mattoso), a professor at the São Carlos Institute of Physics (IFSC/USP, 20122013), and a professor at the Federal University of Itajubá (ICE/UNIFEI, 20052006), where he also served as a teaching assistant for Calculus I and II for six years. Currently, he is an Associate Professor (Adjunto 3) at the Federal University of São Paulo (ICT/UNIFESP) and serves as Coordinator of the Extension and Culture Chamber at ICT/UNIFESP. His research expertise spans Biomedical Engineering, with an emphasis on biosensor development; Materials Science and Engineering, focusing on the development and application of nanostructured materials, particularly conjugated polymers and nanocomposites; and Physics Teaching. His primary research interests include Biosensors, Self-Assembled Films, Nanocomposites, Synthesis and Applications of Conjugated Polymers, Electrochemistry, and Physics Education.
