A data acquisition system will be mounted to measure the mean muon lifetime. They will be used cosmic ray muons and a particle detector using Cherenkov radiation produced into water. The system will use modules CAMAC and NIM and algorithms written in computer C programming language. The data analysis will be carried with ROOT, developed at CERN, in a Linux environment. (AU)
