Natália Bortoleto Athayde is a Animal Scientist (2007), master in Animal Science, Animal Production area (2010) and PhD in Animal Science, Animal Nutrition and Production area with an emphasis on Animal Product Technology (2013), from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science (FMVZ), São Paulo State University (UNESP), Botucatu/SP Campus. In 2012, she participated in the Exchange Program as a Short Term Scholar at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, IL, USA, in the area of #8203;#8203;Pork Quality. She is currently Research Analyst at Embrapa Cerrados. Works in the areas of laboratory management and biosafety, food analysis for animal nutrition, near-infrared spectroscopy, handling, animal production and meat technology, with an emphasis on nutrition, well-being, pre-slaughter management, humane slaughter and food quality, pig meat.
