Felippe Benavente Canteras

Graduated in Environmental Sanitation Technology from the Center for Higher Education in Technology (CESET) at the University of Campinas (Unicamp) in 2007. Holds a Masters degree (2010) and a Ph.D. (2015) in Civil Engineering from Unicamp, with a focus on Environmental Sanitation. Worked as a lecturer at the Jaguariúna Faculty of Technology from 2014 to 2016, teaching in the Production Engineering and Civil Engineering programs. Since 2016, has been an Assistant Professor at the School of Technology at Unicamp, under a full-time teaching and research dedication regime (RDIDP), currently at level MS 3.2 (Assistant Professor II) since 2022.Has experience in the fields of Sanitary and Environmental Engineering, with emphasis on environmental monitoring, soil and air quality, atmospheric particulate matter, and the assessment of potentially toxic elements (heavy metals) in environmental matrices. Also works in the design and evaluation of Green Infrastructure, Nature-Based Solutions (NBS), and strategies for sustainable cities, focusing on urban adaptation to climate change and the mitigation of environmental injustices.Develops and coordinates research projects related to sustainable urban mobility, smart cities, and resilient urban planning. Is part of the international research network "OPTISUS-IA," funded by CNPq, aimed at optimizing sustainable public transport systems in collaboration with Brazilian researchers abroad. Also collaborates with the CEUCI Center for Urbanism for Knowledge and Innovation, focusing on mobility solutions for the International Hub for Sustainable Development (HIDS-Unicamp). Participates as a collaborating researcher in the CNPq-funded project "Complete Streets and Sustainable Mobility: Case Study of the International Hub for Sustainable Development at UNICAMP."Has served as Undergraduate Program Coordinator and Associate Coordinator for the Transportation Engineering and Building Construction Technology programs at Unicamp (20192020; 20232025). Since May 2025, serves as Advisor to the Office of Undergraduate Affairs (Pró-Reitoria de Graduação) at Unicamp. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
