Sergio Monteiro Lima Júnior

I did my Graduation in Dentistry at Federal University of Minas Gerais (2002) and my resisdency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) in Federal University of Santa Catarina (2007). I did my Master (MS) in clinics, with concentration in OMFS at FOP/Unicamp (2010) and pursued my Doctorate (PhD) in clinics with concentration on OMFS at FOP/Unicamp (2011). During the postgraduate program, I did a in Cranio-Maxillofacial Surgery Fellowship at Freiburg's University - Germany and after the PhD I did an AO Fellowship in Cranio-Maxillofacial Surgery at Basel University at Switzerland (2012). I hold a chair at UFMG as an adjunct professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. I am the head of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery of MaterDei Healthcare Network at Belo Horizonte - MG. I am a member of the Brazilian College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and a member of the AOCMF Foundation for study of internal rigid fixation and member of the Brazilian Society of Dental Research. My main interests are orthognathic surgery, temporomandibular joint surgery, 3D technologies and maxillofacial reconstruction. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
