Roberto Tomasi

Graduate of the Universidade Federal de São Carlos in Materials Engineering (1976), master's in Nuclear Engineering from Universidade de São Paulo (1979) and PhD in Chemical Engineering from Universidade de São Paulo (1988). Has experience in Material and Metallurgical Engineering, focusing on Ceramics, acting on the following subjects: powder synthesis and ceramic processing of alumina, composites and nanocomposites of high hardness materials. The studied processing includes self-propagating high-temperature synthesis, reactive milling, densification and sintering. Characterization includes X ray difraction, SEM, mechanical properties.
