Dr. Gomes is currently a Research Associate at the University of Windsor, Canada, working on RD projects in the field of Sustainable Electronics. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Physics (2010), as well as a Master's (2014) and Ph.D. (2018) in Materials Science and Technology, all from São Paulo State University (UNESP), Brazil. During his Ph.D., he completed a research internship at Bangor University in Wales, where he conducted projects focused on printed UV photodetectors. Dr. Gomes has extensive experience in material characterization using techniques such as AFM, QNM, and SEM, as well as in the fabrication and optical/electrical characterization of semiconductor devices. In March 2024, one of his articles was selected by the editors of ACS Applied Polymer Materials to be featured in the journals portfolio for its potential public interest. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
