Bruno Leonardo Barth Sobral

Economist and Professor at the Faculty of Economic Sciences at the State University of Rio de Janeiro - FCE / UERJ. In addition to teaching and research experience, he also holds administrative positions. Since January 2020, he has been Director of the Planning and Budget Directorate-DIPLAN / UERJ. Its performance also extends to initiatives of inter-institutional articulation in the debate on public policies in the State of Rio de Janeiro.Since May 2019, he has been Executive Coordinator of Rede Pró-Rio, a state Think Tank project from UERJ. In addition, he is a member of the Executive Council and Scientific Editor of the Revista Cadernos do Desenvolvimento Fluminense, a journal edited by the CEPERJ Foundation in partnership with UERJ. In particular, he has extensive experience in studies on Rio de Janeiro's economy, standing out as the winner of two awards: 1st place in the Minister Gama Filho 2018 Award from ECG / TCE-RJ, and 1st place in the Doctoral Thesis category of the Brazil Economy Award 2012 COFECON and IPEA.He has a degree in Economic Sciences from the Institute of Economics of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (IE / UFRJ), as well as a master and doctor in Economic Development from the Institute of Economics of the State University of Campinas (IE / UNICAMP).
