PhD in Education (2014), bachelor's degree in Social Communications (minor in Publishing, 2003) and in Philosophy (2006), all from Universidade de São Paulo; specialist degree in Intellectual Property Management from Universidad Bolivariana de Venezuela, Servicio Autónomo de Propiedad Intelectual and Oficina Cubana de la Propiedad Industrial (2008). Professor at UFABC, working with distance education programs (through the university's Educational Center for Technologies and Languages) and as a professor at the programs of Public Policies and Sciences and Humanities. Formerly a professional editor, took part in the editing of, among others: the Final Report of Brazil's Truth Commission; the award-winning series of books by Elio Gaspari on Brazil's 1964 dictatorship; and of several titles selected in PNLD, the national program for acquisition of textbooks in Brazil. Main research interests: theories and practices of commons / commoning, commodification, intellectual property, philosophy and sociology of science, educational technology, open educational resources, free software.
