Birthplace: Brazil

Graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the Federal University of Lavras UFLA (2004), with a specialization in Veterinary Medical Residency in Diagnostic Imaging of Small Animals (20052007) and a Masters degree in Animal Science (20072008) from the same institution. Holds a PhD in Veterinary Medicine (20082010), three Postdoctoral fellowships in Veterinary Medicine at UNESP/Jaboticabal (20102013, 20132015, 20162018), and was a Young Investigator at UNESP/FAPESP (20132017), with a research focus on emerging ultrasonographic techniques: elastography, contrast-enhanced ultrasonography, and Doppler imaging. Currently leads the Veterinary Imaging Laboratory and its research group at FZEA-USP and FCAV/UNESP, and is a CNPq Productivity Fellow. Permanent faculty member in the Graduate Program in Veterinary Sciences at UNESP-Jaboticabal and in Animal Biosciences at FZEA-USP. Associate Professor at the University of São Paulo (USP-FZEA) in Diagnostic Imaging. Holds a Habilitation (Livre-Docência) in Diagnostic Imaging in Veterinary Medicine from the University of São Paulo. Author of the books Ultrasonography in Animal Reproduction, Diagnostic Imaging in Dogs and Cats (1st and 2nd editions), Ultrasonography in Dogs and Cats, and Veterinary Perinatology. Has published over 200 articles in national and international journals, and is recognized worldwide as a pioneer and leading reference in the study and clinical application of elastography in veterinary medicine.
