He did postdoctoral studies at Oslo University (Norway, 1991) and Queen´s University (Canada, 1992-1993), was Associate member of the ICTP (Italy, 1996-2002) and held visiting positions at Queen´s University (Canada, 1996), Utah University (USA, 1998), Sydney University (Austrália, 2003). This is a cooperation project between USP and Carleton University in Lie theory and Representation Theory. The goal of the project is to develop the representation theory of the Lie algebra of polynomial vector fields on smooth affine algebraic manifolds. The methods will combine Lie theory and algebraic geometry. (AU)

This is a research project on representation theory of Lie (super)algebras of polynomial vector fields on affine (super)algebraic varieties. The goals include the construction of Rudakov modules and gauge modules for such superalgebras, and the generalization to Lie superalgebras of recent results obtained for Lie algebras. (AU)
This is a project to study the representations of W-algebras using the representation theory of affine Kac-Moody algebras and quantum Drinfeld-Sokolov reduction. The objectives include a construction of new classes of weight modules and Whittaker modules. (AU)
We are going to study aspects of algebraic geometry and invariant theory, in particular algebraic groups and Geometric Invariant Theory, in order to the student to learn more techniques to study representation theory and Lie theory, which is the main focus of his PhD thesis, along with some structural question of algebras, where the above subject is also relevant.
