Biologist, graduated from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), with master's degree in the National Laboratory of Biosciences / CNPEM by UNICAMP in the Biological and Functional Biology program, under the supervision of Dr. Jörg Kobarg. For PhD studies, she was endowed by CNPq / DAAD program to undertake the project entitled: " Extracellular fibrillin microfibril as a multifunctional support in the integration of growth factor signaling" at the University of Cologne (Germany) under the guidance of Dr. Gerhard Sengle (Institute of Biochemistry ). The project addressed the onset of the cardiovascular features of patients with Marfan syndrome through the study of a Marfan mouse model. She has experience in Biochemistry, with emphasis in Molecular and functional Biology, protein-protein interaction, in vitro metalloproteinases assays, mice work and cell culture. She employs the techniques of: cloning, PCR, double-hybrid yeast system, protein expression and purification in bacteria and mammalian cells, cell transfection, immunofluorescence, western blotting, murine tissue isolation (aorta and skin), tissue sectioning (cryopreserved and paraffin blocks), standard histological staining, immunohistochemistry, real-time quantitative PCR (qPCR), microscopy, isolation and primary cell culture and zymography.
