He holds a degree in Chemistry from the Federal University of São Carlos (2003), a master's degree (2005) and a doctorate (2009) in Analytical Chemistry from the Federal University of São Carlos. He recently completed a post-doctorate at the University of Granada/Spain. He is currently Associate Professor 3 at the Federal University of Viçosa - UFV (08/2010). and member of the coordinating committee of the professional master's program in chemistry (Profqui). It works mainly in areas involving automation of analytical methods, with emphasis mainly on analytical microsystems, digital image analysis for analytical purposes, nanotechnology, spot testing, flow analysis, voltammetry and luminescent analysis methods.
