João Paulo Santos holds a bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering (2010), a master's degree in Materials Science and Engineering with a specialization in Polymers (2013), and a doctorate in Materials Science and Engineering, also specializing in Polymers (2017), all from the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar). From 2016 to 2018, he served as a collaborating professor in the Department of Materials Engineering at the State University of Ponta Grossa (UEPG). Currently, he is a senior lecturer (Level DIII 2) in the Department of Materials Engineering at the Federal Center for Technological Education of Minas Gerais (CEFET-MG). His expertise spans Materials and Metallurgical Engineering, with a primary focus on Polymers and their applications. His research addresses critical areas such as polymer system rheology, composite materials and blends, hybrid nanostructured materials, polymeric biomaterials, electrical properties of organic systems, and sustainable solutions through recycling, decarbonization, and green economy initiatives.
