Graduated in Bacharel (1996) and Licenciatura (1997) in Nursing by the School of Nursing of Ribeirão Preto of the University of São Paulo. Master (1999) and Doctor (2003) in Basic and Applied Immunology at the Ribeirão Preto Medical School, University of São Paulo, Post-Doctorate at the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada (2005) and Professor at the University of São Paulo ( 2009). She is currently an associate professor at the University of São Paulo. She coordinates the subjects of Immunology and Microbiology at EERP-USP. She is an Integrated PhD Member at the Comprehensive Health Research Centre (CHRC-REAL, CCAL) of the National School of Public Health (ENSP) at NOVA University of Lisbon, Portugal. She coordinates the HIV / AIDS Study Group-GEHA. Vice President of the Commission for Culture and University Extension at EERP-USP. She coordinates the USP Diversity Program at USP's Pro Rectory of Culture and University Extension. Coordinates and Curator of the Repository of Comprehensive Education for Sexuality, HIV / AIDS and Diversity, in partnership with the UN, through UNAIDS and UNESCO. She coordinates the partnership agreements between UN / UNAIDS and USP's USP Diversity Program. Advisor of the Postgraduate Program in Fundamental Nursing and Doctoral Interunits at EERP-USP. She has experience in the field of Nursing, with emphasis on Nursing in Communicable Diseases, researcher on immunogenic and behavioral factors associated with infectious diseases. The current lines of research are directed to the study of the behavioral and etiopathogenic aspects of infectious, autoimmune and neoplastic diseases, with a focus on the evaluation of polymorphisms of genes involved in the innate and acquired immune response, acting mainly on the following themes: nursing, immunogenetics , HLA, HCV, HIV / AIDS, HPV and SARS-COV-2.
