His main line of investigation consists in:(i) development of therapeutic strategies in the modulation of autoimmune responses and (ii) modulation of dendritic cells by synthetic molecules and pathogen-derived products aiming its use in the treatment of chronic autoimmune inflammatory conditions, such as Experimental Autoimmune Encephalomyelitis and Collagen-Induced Arthritis.
