Birthplace: Brazil

I have a bachelor degree in Physical Education from the São Paulo State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho, completing my course in 2009. Subsequently, I obtained my master's degree in Physiotherapy from the same institution in 2012. In 2016, I completed my Ph.D. in Sciences, with a focus on Human Physiology, from the University of São Paulo. Currently, I hold a postdoctoral position at Columbia University in the United States. My work involves the use of knockout mice for osteocalcin. My goal is to investigate the impacts of the absence of this hormone in mice that are descendants of homozygous or heterozygous mothers. This project encompasses a wide range of physiological functions that affect the adult life of offspring, including glucose metabolism, fertility, cognition, and physical capacity.
