He holds a degree in Language Arts Education (Portuguese and Spanish) from the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), a M.Sc. and a PhD in Linguistics from the State University of Campinas (Unicamp). He has completed a postdoctoral internship at the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar). In addition, he is specialized in Brazilian Sign Language: Practice and Translator/Interpreter from the Western Sao Paulo University (Unoeste) and in School Management from the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Southern Minas Gerais (IFSULDEMINAS). He is currently a professor of Letters (Portuguese and Spanish) at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of São Paulo (IFSP), Hortolândia campus, where he teaches not only Portuguese and Spanish, but also Italian and Brazilian Sign Language (Libras). At this institution, he has held several relevant administrative positions, including coordinator of the lato sensu postgraduate program in Language and Literature Teaching, coordinator of the Language Center (CeLin) at the Hortolândia Campus, and campus representative for the Office of International Relations (Arinter). His research interests are in the area of Linguistics, more specifically in the subareas of Historical Semantics of the Enunciation, of Semantics of Events, and of History of the Linguistics Ideas. His main research themes are argumentation, language policy and relationship between languages. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
