Birthplace: Brazil

Ricardo dos Santos Camargo has a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Chemistry and a Doctor of Science degree in Analytical Chemistry, both from the University of São Paulo. His doctorate consisted of applying Quality Tools (Method Validation, Analytical Uncertainty Calculation and Intralaboratory Quality Control) to the research project that consists in environmental diagnosis and correlation of surface water quality and landscape use, which also included Sampling Uncertainty Calculation. To generate Metrological Traceability for the developed project, an Equipment Verification Program was introduced, which required the support of a Quality Management System adapted to the reality of University RD laboratories. He worked as Administrative Manager at the Associação dos Produtores Rurais de Tabatinga, where he developed projects for the conscious use of pesticides together with the use of biological products and direct sales of the Association's fruit and vegetables directly to hypermarkets in the central-western region of the state of São Paulo. At the same time he was a professor at Universidade Paulista-UNIP. His last role was as Quality Assurance Manager in Pesticide Residue Studies at LBS Pesquisas Agrícolas. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
