CNPq 1B Researcher.Graduated in Pharmacy and Biochemistry from the Federal University of Santa Maria (1986), Master in Biological Sciences (Biochemistry) from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (1993) and PhD in Biological Sciences (Biochemistry and Molecular Biology) from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul and Laboratory of Genetics and Molecular Cardiology of the Heart Institute and Medical School of USP (1999). Since 1998 she has been a Professor of Biochemistry Applied to the Exercise at the School of Physical Education and Sport with exclusive dedication (RDIDP) at the University of São Paulo. Postdoctoral Fellow at the Stem Cells Laboratory at the Keck Graduate Institute of Applied Life Science, Claremont, California, USA (2007-2009). Associate Professor at the University of São Paulo since 2010. At that Institution, she was Chair of the Department of Biodynamic of the Human Body Movement (2014-2018), Vice-Chair of the Department (2010-2014 and 2018-2021), Chair of the Research Committee (2012-2015), Chair of the Research Ethics Committee (2014-2021). Senior Associate Researcher CNPq (10/2021-04/2022) and Fapesp (09/2022-09/2023 Fellowship, at the Health Heart Institute, Department of Internal Medicine, Morsani College of Medicine at the University of South Florida, USA. Chair of the Laboratory of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology of Exercise at EEFE-USP.Investigates the effects of physical training on non-coding RNAs in the Cardiovascular System, focusing on microRNAs and circular RNAs in the heart (physiological hypertrophy), skeletal muscle, vessels and circulating.
