He has a degree in Social Communication - Radio and TV from the Dom Bosco Catholic University, a specialism in Audiovisual Communication from PUC-PR, a Master's and PhD in Communication and Semiotics from PUC-SP, a Post-Doctorate from the University of Algarve/Portugal in Communication, Art and Culture, working mainly on the following themes: Poetics of Cinema, Transmedia Ecosystems, Eco-Communication in Agroforestry Systems and Decolonial Communication. He has been a researcher at the International Centre for Peircian Studies (CIEP) since 2007. He was awarded a grant under the Research Productivity 2021 programme at Estácio de Sá College for his research: Communicative Syntropy: Eco-Semiosis in Syntropic and Auto-Poetic Systems. In 2022, he was responsible for the educommunicative practices of the Living Citizenship Programme (SECIC-MS), helping young indigenous, quilombola and PwD scholarship holders to produce content for blogs, podcasts and videos, integrating them with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs - Agenda 2030). He currently participates as a partner researcher in the Legal Amazon Environmental Observatory with the research Decolonial Communication: for a Semantics of an Ancestral Dwelling.
