Graduated in Biological Sciences from FFCLRP, at the University of São Paulo (2001), MSc (2004) and Ph.D. (2009) in Cellular and Molecular Biology at the Faculdade de Medicina de Ribeirão Preto, University of São Paulo. Post doctoral scholarship from FAPESP completed in partnership with the FMRP-USP and the University of St. Andrews, Scotland. He has experience in the areas of Molecular Biology and Microbiology, with emphasis on Virology, acting on the following topics: cloning and expression of viral antigens, obtaining recombinant viruses by reverse genetics, virus detection by molecular methods, the study of virus-induced apoptosis and analysis of pathogenicity islands in bacteria.
