He holds a PhD in Social Anthropology from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), a Master's degree in Social Sciences from the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP), and a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences from UNICAMP. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Anthropology at UNICAMP. He conducts research with the Xukuru-Kariri people, focusing on the figure of the warrior person and on sociopolitical and territorial practices in the Alto Rio Pardo region (Minas Gerais). His research interests, within the field of Indigenous ethnology, include the body, kinship, ritual, politics, and territoriality. He serves as Social and Environmental Manager of the Grande Tumucumaque Program, coordinated by Iepé Institute for Indigenous Research and Training and Imazon Institute of Man and Environment of the Amazon. He is also a contributing editor and editorial assistant of Tipití Journal of the Society for the Anthropology of Lowland South America.
