PhD in Social Anthropology from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), Master in Social Sciences from the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP) and Bachelor in Social Sciences from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), he studied the Xucuru-Kariri warrior people and their sociopolitical and territorial practices in the Upper Rio Pardo (MG). Between 2009 and 2011, he conducted research in archives and on the Catrimani River (RR) with the aim of understanding the conceptions of missionaries and anthropologists about the Yanomami. During this period, he was part of the Study Group on Mediation and Alterity (GEMA), based both at the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP) and at the Brazilian Center for Analysis and Planning (CEBRAP). Between 2014 and 2017, as a tenured professor of Sociology, he taught in the public school system of the state of São Paulo. In 2022 and 2023, still within the scope of the São Paulo State Department of Education (SEE-SP), he worked as a technician at the Management Training Center (CEFOG) of the "Paulo Renato Costa Souza" School of Training for Education Professionals (EFAPE) and technician of the Sociology curriculum team of the High School Center (CEM) of the Pedagogical Coordination (COPED). He was also editor of PROA - Journal of Anthropology and Art (2017-2020) and of Maloca - Journal of Indigenous Studies of the Center for Research in Indigenous Ethnology (2018-2022), both at the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP). Currently, in addition to being a contributing editor and editorial assistant for Tipití - Journal of the Society for the Anthropology of Lowland South America, he is Social and Environmental Manager of the Grande Tumucumaque Program, Iepé - Institute for Indigenous Research and Training and Imazon - Institute of Man and the Environment of the Amazon.
