The research wishes to undertake an economic analysis on the cultural spaces in Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo in the early twentieth century, making use of abundant primary documentation of the period. The project aims to analyse the cultural spaces in Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo, in the period 1904-1922 through its economic perspective. The research is based on primary sources such as accounting documents and periodics from the period.
