He has a degree in Biochemical Pharmacy from the University of São Paulo (1996), a master's degree in Toxicology and Toxicological Analysis from the University of São Paulo (2000) and a PhD in Toxicology from the University of São Paulo (2004). He is currently Associate Professor III of the Department of Clinical and Toxicological Analysis of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences of the University of São Paulo, Deputy Coordinator of the Research Ethics Committee of FCF/USP, Deputy Coordinator of the ICB/FCF Master's Interunit Postgraduate Program Professional Innovation in Diagnostics and Development of Pharmaceuticals and Medicines. and President of the Multiuser Mass Spectrometry Laboratory (LMEM), linked to the USPMulti. Member of The International Association of Forensic Toxicologists (TIAFT). He was Vice-President of the Brazilian Society of Toxicology SBTOx (2016-2019), Coordinator of CEP-FCF-USP (2013-2016 and 2019-2022), Director of the Toxicological Analysis Laboratory (2007-2016), Deputy Head of the Department of Clinical and Toxicological Analysis (2018-2020), Coordinator of the PPG in Toxicology and Toxicological Analysis (2016-2019) and President and Vice-President of CPG-FCF-USP (2020-2022 and 2023-2024). Acts as an ad hoc reviewer for several funding agencies such as FAPESP, CAPES, CNPq, FAPEMIG, FAPDF, Agencia Nacional de Investigación e Innovación - Uruguay. He also acts as a Referee for several renowned scientific journals such as Talanta, Forensic Science International, Journal of Chromatography B, Journal of Chromatography A, Journal of Analytical Toxicology, Clinica Chimica Acta, Toxicology, Trends in Analytical Chemistry, Scientific Reports, Sustainable Chemistry and Pharmacy. He has experience in the area of #8203;#8203;development and application of toxicological analyses, with an emphasis on drugs of abuse, working mainly on the following topics: sample preparation techniques (SPE, SPME, LPME, DLLME, SHS, PALME, EME, accelerated solvent extraction) , chromatographic techniques and mass spectrometry, alternative biological matrices (hair, sweat, oral fluid, meconium, umbilical cord), mainly in aspects related to Social/Forensic Toxicology. He guided masters and doctors who achieved prominent and leadership positions in Toxicology, in Brazil and abroad, as Professor at the Federal University of Santa Maria, Professor at the Federal University of Health Sciences of Porto Alegre, Coordinator of the Municipal Program for Prevention and Control of Poisonings at São Paulo, Professor at John Jay College of Criminal Justice - New York, TIAFT Young Scientist Committee Member, Principal Application Scientist at Lhasa Ltd., England, Researcher at the University of Bologna, Italy, Senior Toxicologist at Apsen Farmacêutica, Toxicologist at Syngenta, Toxicologist at Kimberly-Clark, Health Consultant at Norsk Hydro.
