Graduated (2006) and MA (2012) in History from the Faculty of Philosophy, Letters and Human Sciences at the University of São Paulo (FFLCH - USP). Her masters dissertation, entitled "The Craft of Freedom: rental service contracts and freed workers in Sâo Paulo and Campinas, 1830-1888," investigates the practices of compensatory manumission and the work of freed men and women in those cities, through the analysis of service contracts. Currently develops her doctoral research concerning Freedom Lawsuits and social relations on the eve of abolition in the province of São Paulo, at the same University and with the aid of a FAPESP scholarship.
