Graduated in Biomedical Sciences from Universidade Cidade de São Paulo. During her undergraduate studies, she was a scientific initiation scholarship holder at the Laboratory of Molecular Biology and Functional Anatomy of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences of the University of São Paulo (ICB/USP), where she also completed her master's and doctorate degrees, under the supervision of Dr. Maria Luiza Barreto-Chaves. Her line of research focuses on the investigation of signaling pathways associated with cardiac hypertrophy in hyperthyroidism, with an emphasis on the renin-angiotensin system. In her postdoctoral studies, under the supervision of Dr. Gabriela Diniz, she explored the involvement of miR-22 in senescence and dysfunction of adipose tissue in the context of obesity. She has extensive experience in preclinical research, is an expert in cellular and molecular biology techniques and has extensive experience in cell culture.
