Caroline Malagutti Fassina

I'm a bureacrat of sustainability, a mom and a coastal city habitant. As an enviromental official from Santos municipality, São Paulo, Brazil, I have licensed and inspected mainly port companies, that perform the trade and logistic in a local territority. The 13 years' experience in this position give me an extensive experience in the government and about environmental policies formulation and implementation. I was also a counselor of São Paulo's Marine Protected Area and a researcher fellow in Australia during my PhD, positions that express my search for the translation of science into policy, and vice-versa. I recently assumed a new Blue Projects Manager position, in Santos city Technology Foundation. I strongly believe in dialetical approach, in local engagement, and in occupying spaces as a womand and to listen and learn from other knowledges systems aand worldviews. So, my academic topics of interest are: environmental valuation applied to public policy, ecological economics methods, traditional and indigenous population values and political ecology.
