Dr. Rafael Celeghini Santiago is Senior Director ate the Advanced Materials Reserach Center in the Technology Innovation Institute (TII, United Arab Emirates) since 2020, being previously adjunct professor at Federal University of ABC (Brazil) between 2016 and 2020, coordinating the Aerospace Engineering course. He is graduated in mechanical engineering at University of São Paulo (Brazil) in 2008 and he got his PhD degree on impact loadings on aeronautical structures at University of São Paulo (Brazil) in cooperation with University of Liverpool (UK) in 2014. He was post-doctorate at University of São Paulo between 2014 and 2016, research visitor at Liverpool John Moores University (UK) in 2017 and lecturer at Universidade Anhembi Morumbi (Brazil) between 2014 and 2016. His interests include composite materials, fibre-metal laminates, experimental methods and finite-elements analysis. He is conducting research projects on additive manufacturing, automotive safety and lightweight materials in cooperation with Brazil, United Kingdom, Morocco, South Africa, Singapore and Australia.
