Rafael Stelmach

Graduated in Medicine from the ABC University Foundation (1985), doctorate in Medicine, area of concentration of Pulmonology, from the University of São Paulo-FMUSP (1999) and obtained the title of Professor at the Department of Cardiopneumology at the University of São Paulo in 2012 Collaborating professor at FMUSP in undergraduate and graduate courses in the Departments of Cardio-Pulmonology and Experimental Pathophysiology. Between 2009 and 2013 he served as professor of Pulmonology at the University Center São Camilo Medical School. Researcher with CNPQ-2 productivity grant, focusing on pathophysiology, management and therapy, epidemiology and implementation / translation for primary care in the areas of experience. He is an assistant physician in the Pulmonology Division of the Heart Institute of HC-FMUSP. He has clinical experience working mainly on the following topics: asthma, rhinitis, allergic inflammation, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pulmonary emphysema, chronic bronchitis, bronchiectasis, cystic fibrosis, lung function and chest computed tomography. Ambassador and coordinator of the Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA) in Brazil since 2015 and member of the planning group of the Global Alliance against Chronic Respiratory Diseases of (GARD) of the World Health Organization since 2016.
