Graduated in Environmental Engineering from the Universidad Manuela Beltrán (Bogotá D.C., Colombia - 2007), with additional coursework and a scientific initiation project developed within the Environmental Engineering program at EESC/USP. She holds a Master's and Ph.D. in Sciences (area: Hydraulic Engineering and Sanitation) from the School of Engineering of São Carlos at the University of São Paulo (EESC/USP), with a doctoral internship at VITO, Belgium. She completed postdoctoral research at the Institute of Chemistry at São Carlos (IQSC/USP) in collaboration with VITO, Belgium, focusing on Separation and Conversion Technologies. She also worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the School of Arts, Sciences, and Humanities at USP Leste (EACH/USP), specializing in sustainability, in partnership with the Research Center for Greenhouse Gas Innovation (RCGI). Currently, she is a lead researcher in the biogas and biomolecules production skills development program at SENAI, Sertãozinho unit. Her primary research interests involve the application of biological and bioelectrochemical systems for energy recovery (hydrogen and/or methane) and the production of value-added organic compounds from liquid and gaseous effluents.
